Dark Matter è la ricerca riguardamte la cinetizzazione del Ferrofluido, cardine semantico e visivo delle varie serie di opere di cui è protagonista.

Il Ferrofluido è un liquido sintetico in grado di reagire ai campi magnetici cui viene sottoposto, strutturandosi in architetture geometrico/ipnotiche. La microscopica polvere di ferro contenuta in sospensione nella base oleosa del medium si dispone lungo le linee di forza del campo magnetico, esplicitandone le direzioni e dimensioni, oltre a formalizzare l'estetica delle leggi fisiche e naturali.

I movimenti organici e sensuali del Ferrofluido sembrano esprimere vitalità autonoma, punto di partenza dell'evoluzione della scultura cinetica nella mia ricrca artistica: una tensione a rendere inorganicamente vive le opere.

Dark Matter is the whole research dealing with the use of Ferrofluid.

Ferrofluid is a sinthetic liquid capable to react to the magnetic fields it's submitted to, structuring itself in geometrical and ipnotic architectures. The iron dust microscopic particles contained in the oily base dispose along the force lines of the magnetic field, showing its dimension and directions, besides formalising the esthetic of natural laws.

Ferrofluid's organic and sensual movements seems to express an inner vitality and organicity. This is the starting point of the evolution of my kinetic sculpture's reasearch: the tension to make sculptures non-organically alive.
